Breaking barriers and reaching for the stars, Katya Echazarreta is expanding the limits of possibility. Named one of TIME’s Latino Leaders of 2025, she made history as the first Mexican-born woman to travel to space. An electrical engineer and science communicator, Katya advocates for expanded access to STEM and opens doors for young people, especially Latinas, who dare to dream big.
