Dear friends, I need your help! I just applied for a grant through Artizen to help bring Still Walking: The Equality Fashion Week Story, a documentary film to reality. You can vote at https://artizen.fund/index/p/still-walking-the-equality-fashion-week-story

In a time when q***r visibility is challenged, memory becomes protection. This film holds what our community built so it doesn’t disappear. Help me get the funding needed to bring 30 hours of footage to the big screen. Thank you Wadooah Wali for creating this incredible opportunity for q***r creators!

It is with tremendous sadness that I write this post sharing the news of the passing of who battled with leukemia this past year.

I met Marsha thru PFLAG and I invited her to walk Equality Fashion Week with her son back in 2023. She was super excited and immediately showed me so much support and kindness. It made me feel like I suddenly gained a mom here in LA. She always made me feel seen and loved even though we weren't close and knew each other briefly. It's a testament to the kind of human she was and I feel very blessed and privileged to have known her.

Please share your prayers and love to Aiden and the rest of our community as she touched so many lives near and far. Let her life be the example in which we all can aspire to be with such authenticity, love and openness. RIP Marsha. Thank you for being part of the EFW family.

It is with a heavy heart that I remember our talented designer from EFW's first show in 2018, . Sadly, Lior passed away this past May and I just found out today.

These photos showcase Lior's vibrant spirit and creativity. He was a gentle soul with a fierce passion for fashion, leaving a lasting impact on our community. I'm grateful he was part of our journey. His designs were breathtaking and inspiring. He'll be deeply missed by the Equality Fashion Week family.
May he rest in peace.

Dear EFW friends,
As we approach the end of 2024, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support throughout this year. It’s been a journey filled with challenges, but your encouragement has kept my spirit alive and resilient.

This weekend marks a significant milestone for and as we bid farewell to our first brick-and-mortar location which began in late August and it's closing out now. Join us at the DTLA Proud Community Art Center Pop-up at The BLOC in Los Angeles for our final days this Saturday and Sunday, December 28th and 29th, from 12 PM to 6 PM. The address is 700 W 7th St, LA, CA 90017.

This is your last opportunity to get fitted for the unique shoes and holsters I’ve designed. We’re hosting a Close Out Sale with incredible offers: enjoy 50% off all dress shoes and boots from the NiK Kacy Collection (excluding sneakers) and $100 off all leather holsters. It’s a perfect chance to support us and grab those pieces you’ve had your eye on.

Can’t make it in person? No worries! You can still take advantage of our clearance sale online. Use the code CLEARANCE2024 to enjoy 50% off shoes and boots, while the $100 discount on holsters is automatically applied.

To celebrate this milestone and say goodbye to 2024, we’ll be serving beverages at the pop-up shop. I hope you can join us in this celebration.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a safe, healthy New Year. Thank you for being part of our journey and for allowing me to continue creating designs that empower authentic self-expression. Let's and support !

With gratitude and well wishes,

NiK Kacy

There has never been a more crucial time to show up for our Trans, Gender Inclusive, and Intersex community. Every year during the month of November, we remember all the TGI folks who have been taken away too soon due to hate and discrimination.

Please join me, on November 20th at 4pm for this year’s (Transgender Day of Remembrance)

With two short months before 🤡 takes over our administration, I am keenly aware that most of us are worried and anxious beyond words. That is why I’m leaning into being more vulnerable and even more direct these days so please don’t mind if I call on all of my cis gay, le***an, straight siblings to show your support. We need you more than ever. Please remember that Trans folks have been at the forefront of every fight for equality, yet are still always at the bottom of the totem pole of receiving those rights. I've shown up at every march for my siblings and now our lives are in jeopardy. Please stand with us and standup for us! Be proactive and protective as we might be the first in line of attack... we will not be the last. In solidarity, and unity, will we be able to fight hate. Please use QR code or bit.ly short link to RSVP. 🙏

For the rest of my TGI siblings, knows that we are in this together and you are not alone. ❤️🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Special shout out to .carlaibarra for organizing this event on behalf of and inviting us to participate! ❤️🤗
