Rejection is part of the process but it should never define the person.

In this clip, breakout star of 2025, Chase Infiniti, shares something every young performer (and parent) needs to hear that she got from her dad: the “no’s” are inevitable, but they’re not a reflection of your worth.

In this industry, it’s easy to tie confidence to outcomes.

To start believing that every audition, every callback, every booking determines who you are but the truth is, your value isn’t up for debate.

“You have nothing to prove, everything to show.”

That mindset shift matters. Especially for young performers who are still learning who they are, while being constantly evaluated.

At Minor Performer Alliance, we always remind families that rejection is about fit, not talent and your child’s confidence starts internally, not externally. Growth comes from trusting yourself, even when the room says no!

The goal isn’t to be perfect. It is to know who you are, with or without the role. Because the strongest performers aren’t the ones who never hear “no”…
They’re the ones who don’t let it change how they see themselves. 💛⭐️

✨ AGENT VS MANAGER: What’s the Difference? ✨

One of the most common questions we hear from parents and performers starting out in the industry is: “Do we need an agent or a manager and what’s the difference?” 🎬

Agents are licensed by the state and their main job is to find you work. They submit you for auditions, negotiate contracts, and handle the business side of getting you into rooms with casting directors. Agents take a 10% commission on the work they secure for you.

Managers, on the other hand, focus on guiding your career. They help you make long-term decisions, prepare you for auditions, and help with overall growth. They usually take a 15-20% commission, but they’re a bit more hands-on with your journey.

Many performers start with an agent and later add a manager as their career grows, but every path is unique. The most important thing is working with professionals who believe in you, protect your interests, and keep your best future in mind. ❤️

At MPA, we believe education is power. The more you understand the business side of the industry, the better you can protect your child performer and set them up for long-term success. 🌟

No big deal, just crying watching Dakota & Elle Fanning growing up before our eyes on screen, and side by side together into such talented actresses. 🥹

Elle Fanning told Porter magazine in 2019 that she and her sister enjoyed performing at home before they were ever in front of the camera.

“My sister and I would play these elaborate scenes around the house,” Elle explained. “Like birthing scenes. I would be the baby, coming out. Crazy stuff like that.”

It’s fun to see two sisters be able to play pretend together after all these years as they will be starring in the upcoming film adaptation of The Nightingale 💛⭐️👯‍♀️

Self-tapes are often your child’s first impression with casting and small setup details can make or break that moment. 🎥

It isn’t about having expensive gear, it’s about making sure your child is seen clearly.

A strong self-tape doesn’t need to be perfect: just clear, simple, and honest. 💛

Enjoy this throwback of Tom Hanks pretending he forgot his lines during a screen test with former child star, Haley Joel Osment, as he could sense his nerves 🥹

From Forrest Gump to now, moments like this remind us why community matters. Uplifting minor performers isn’t just kindness, it’s a responsibility. 💛

“I would keep it to myself a little bit. If kids would ask, ‘Where were you yesterday?’ I would tell them, but if not, I wouldn’t say, ‘I was shooting.’” It wasn’t until later, as a teenager at university, that he decided to pursue acting seriously. “I thought, maybe I’m already doing what I want to be doing,” he recalls.

Not every child actor grows up chasing fame, sometimes it just starts as one small part of a normal childhood.
Michiel Huisman shared that acting was never “the thing” growing up. It was just something he did alongside school, soccer, and playing guitar. In a place like Holland, it didn’t feel like a career path, it felt like another hobby. So much so, he didn’t even talk about it much. No announcements, no spotlight. Just quietly showing up, doing the work, and going back to being a kid.

For many young performers, acting isn’t about instant success or recognition, it’s about exploration. It’s about trying something they love while still having space to grow, learn, and just be kids. There’s no one “right” timeline. Some take it seriously later. Some don’t. Both are okay.

We believe in protecting that balance, making sure kids can pursue opportunities without losing their childhood in the process. Because sometimes the strongest careers aren’t rushed… they’re discovered over time. 💛⭐️

Breaking into the entertainment industry can feel overwhelming, especially when your child has no experience.

We hear it all the time:
“Should we wait until they have classes?”
“Do they need credits first?”
“Are we already behind?”

The truth is… most families misunderstand how representation actually works. Agents don’t expect a long resume from kids. They’re looking for potential, personality, and presence and just as importantly: they’re evaluating the parent’s professionalism, communication, and reliability.

For minor performers, this is never just about the child. It’s about the family system supporting them.

You don’t need everything to be perfect before you start.
But you do need to approach it the right way and most importantly… Knowing how to avoid scams and unsafe situations.

A real agent will never require upfront payment to represent your child. A legitimate opportunity will always prioritize your child’s well-being, education, and legal protections.

At Minor Performer Alliance, we see families either rush in unprepared or wait too long because they think they’re “not ready yet.”

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s being informed, supported, and safe while navigating each step.

Because getting an agent isn’t the finish line, it’s just the beginning of the journey.🌟

In the middle of one of the biggest film productions in the world at the time, surrounded by massive sets, cameras, and a global spotlight… Daniel Radcliffe is just a kid, excited (and maybe a little surprised) about losing a baby tooth.

It’s such a simple milestone, but it says everything: no matter how big the production, how iconic the role, or how intense the schedule, kids are still kids. They’re growing up in real time, hitting all those little life moments in between takes.

And that’s why conversations happening now matter so much.

Recently, Daniel spoke about the importance of having mandated child therapists on set, especially as a new generation of young actors steps into the world of Harry Potter, with the new series set to premiere this December. These are kids stepping into something enormous, and making sure they have emotional support, guidance, and space to just be children isn’t optional, it’s essential.

In honor of the new trailer dropping, this throwback feels extra meaningful. It’s a reminder of where it all started… and what should never be lost along the way.

At Minor Performer Alliance, we believe that kids deserve protection, not pressure, big opportunities should never come at the cost of well-being, and growing up on set should still include growing up normally.

Because behind every “chosen one” is still just a child who might lose a tooth between scenes and that should always be protected 💛⭐️

In this industry, wins can definitely be exciting, but they’re temporary. Auditions, callbacks, and even bookings come and go. If a child’s confidence is tied only to outcomes, it can rise and fall just as quickly.

What actually lasts is what’s built off set. Confidence comes from feeling supported no matter the result. It comes from knowing their worth isn’t defined by a casting decision, a callback, or a role. It’s shaped by the conversations at home, the way rejection is framed, and the consistency of routine, education, and emotional support.

At Minor Performer Alliance, we believe success isn’t just about booking, it’s about protecting a child’s wellbeing through the process. That means prioritizing mental health, education, and a strong support system just as much as career growth.

The goal isn’t just to raise a working actor. It’s to raise a confident, resilient young person who knows who they are with or without the role.💛⭐️
