Xin Nian Kuai Le! Happy Chinese New Year! Originally tied to the lunar-solar Chinese calendar, the holiday was a time to honor household and heavenly deities as well as ancestors. It was also a time to bring family together for feasting. We hope all of our friends celebrating this day had a lot of fun feasting on yummy food and gathering with friends and family!

Trojan Global Network is proud to introduce its signature event, 'Culture of the Month’. This month we are celebrating the Chinese culture! Mark your calendars for this Friday, October 23rd from 4.30pm to 8.00pm for a fun-filled evening to learn more about China! And the best part is our very own retired faculty, Dr. David Tool is helping us host the event at his place, 2810 Ellendale Place.
Dr. Tool, who worked in China for over 10 years, mingled with students eager to build relationships with seasoned faculty. He believes that international students need to learn both how to get a good job, and how to survive the pitfalls of life abroad.

Here is a list of things you can expect:
Free Chinese Food (yes, you heard us right! Vegetarian options available too)
Chinese Food Showcase (learn how to make authentic food) Chinese Calligraphy Workshop
Music performance (using a traditional instrument)
Photo Booth (Dress up in a Tang Costume)
Scavenger Hunt!
Aaaaandd...Winners and participants will be given gifts!

P.S: If you are lucky, Dr. Tool will give you a chance to hold the Olympic Torch that he carried during the 2008 Beijing Olympics!

RSVP using the below link. Space is limited to the first 50 participants, so hurry up to make sure you are on the list!
