TO OUR WOMEN MEMBERS - There's a recent petition asking Gearslutz to change its name. It's a hot topic, but rather than a bunch of dudes debating this (honestly, have we EVER been good at figuring out what women think???), it would be better IMO to hear just from women (at least for now), since obviously your opinions matter a bit more than ours. The site is up and running, but some people (including me!) have been getting database errors. If that happens, then clear/empty the browser cache, quit your browser, then reload. That should do the trick.

If that doesn't work, then try again. (Some people had to do it a few times.) If that still doesn't work, then you may have to clear your history (which is what I had to do), although you might want to just try a different browser instead.

We're doing what we can here to straighten this all out. Please be patient.

We had a hard drive failure at the server. Apparently this was a big one, so they have to do a bunch of stuff I don't really understand, so it will still be a few more hours. Thanks for your patience.
