Joy is more than a smile. It is the freedom to show up fully, dance without holding back, celebrate where we come from, and recognize ourselves in the people around us.

These moments from the Afro-Latino Culture Fest remind us that our joy is powerful, our culture is alive, and our community deserves spaces where every part of who we are can be seen, celebrated, and loved. This is what belonging feels like. Which photo made you feel the joy the most?

A powerful moment from the 2026 Afro-Latino Culture Fest.

Ocandeniye presented “Dos Orishas,” an Afro-Cuban performance honoring Ogun and Oshun of the Yoruba tradition.

Through music, movement and storytelling, Oshun uses sweetness, beauty and dance to draw Ogun from the forest and back to humanity — bringing an ancestral story to life on our stage.

See you in 2027.

On August 1, we came together to celebrate our culture, our roots, and our community at the Afro-Latino Culture Fest.

We danced, laughed, connected, and created memories with people of all ages and backgrounds. The energy on the dance floor said it all—once the music started, no one wanted to stay seated.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us. We can’t wait to see you again next year!
