Last week, we spoke with Jalisa, whose first day in our Career MOMentum program was also her first day pursuing a new career, away from her infant daughter and starting childcare. A lot of firsts.

She shared that the care and support she received helped ease the stress and gave her confidence that a brighter future was possible.

Stories like Jalisa’s remind us why we do this work. When we invest in women, families grow stronger, children have greater opportunities, and communities thrive.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce Fore Women.

Our name is new, but our mission is not. For more than 117 years, we’ve worked alongside women to build economic stability, expand opportunity, and create lasting change.

We are here for good.

We’re still all Fore Women

Our new name reminds us to stay the same.

In 1909, a group of 16 women came together, determined to address the needs of women in Los Angeles. With their shared Jewish values and a vision for change, these women created a model that still inspires us today. Help women, and you help the whole community.

We still believe it today. That is why we are here for good.

Through and through our stores at , we will continue to help uplift women in Southern California.

“Fore” means forward – toward stability, opportunity, and economic equity.

Fore Women honors the four matriarchs of Judaism and the generations of women who came before us. It commits us to carry forward their lineage of courage, leadership, and purpose.

Fore Women reflects who we stand with.

It signals purpose and alignment.

It is a shared path forward to a more just future.
