Shabbat Tent

Shabbat Tent This digital, ultra-connected age has also increased alienation, burn-out, disunity and an epidemic of toxic addictions. Our 2017 Sponsors:
The Emmanuel J.

Creators of hospitality tents and lounges at national music and culture festivals based on Shabbat hospitality and mindfulness, providing nourishment for the body and soul. Shabbat Tent is a space at festivals to unplug from the digital age and experience a transcendent connection that is both tribal and harmonious with all humanity. Through creating an โ€œoasis of chillโ€ based on Shabbat hospitalit

y and mindfulness, providing nourishment for the body and soul, Shabbat Tent inspires guests to practice digital-detox rituals year-round. Meaningful and soulful relationships and rituals are succumbing to material pursuits and workaholic-ism. Digital detox programs, an effort to counter these trends, has made inroads and offered some solutions, but the pace and spread of ills hasnโ€™t tapered off. Those efforts are too limited and exclusive to counteract the enormity of the problem. What if there were a way to create a widespread adoption of digital-detoxification rituals and healthier, soulful living? Through creating a space at music, film and culture celebrations, Shabbat Tent inspires all of us in making a healthier and more harmonious world, where faced-paced digital lives are balanced by nourishment of the soul and meaningful relationships and rituals. The Shabbat Tent Story starts in 1999, at the Phish Millennial shows. Conceived as a one-off project, its success prompted organizers to create additional tents the following years. Under new LA-based leadership since 2009, the project increased budget and reach, organizing volunteer teams, equipment, and funders on both coasts. The 2017 Festival Tour included Shabbat Lounge at the Sundance Film Festival and Shabbat Tents at both Coachella weekends, High Sierra Music Festival, Lightning in a Bottle, and Locknโ€™ Music Festival. Past festivals include: Bonnaroo, Reggae on the River, Wakarusa, Groovephest, Langerado, SXSW, Beale Street, Woodstock, Mountain Jam, Peach, Gathering of the Vibes, Fare Thee Well, Kate Wolf. Recent press coverage includes the LA Times, Billboard, Variety, Consequences of Sound, The Forward, Haaretz, JTA, and Desert News. Support

Join us for a soulful Shabbat experience during Phishโ€™s run in Boulder!
Shabbat Tent is back, bringing the warmth, peace, and community of Shabbat to the tribe at Phish. Whether youโ€™ve been coming for years or this is your first time, youโ€™re invited to join us for a full weekend of connection, tradition, and good vibes โ€” all in the spirit of Shabbat.

Hereโ€™s what we are planning:
๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Friday Evening: Join us before the show for candle lighting, Kiddush, challah, and a beautiful Shabbat welcome. Weโ€™ll gather in community to bring in the light and set the tone for a mindful, music-filled weekend.
Shabbat Day: Weโ€™ll host a laid-back Shabbat prayers and lunch, with space for singing, sharing, and grounding ourselves in the moment.
๐ŸŒŒ Saturday Night: After the show, come wind down with us for Havdalah and a late-night chill โ€” a mellow, magical way to close out Shabbat together.
โ˜€๏ธ Sunday Morning: Weโ€™re cooking up something special for Sunday morning โ€” stay tuned for more info (trust us, youโ€™ll want to be there!).
๐ŸŒ€ โ€œThe moment ends though we pretend that it just begunโ€ฆโ€ โ€” Letโ€™s pause for something real, together.

๐Ÿ“ Exact location and times will be shared via email before the weekend, so please RSVP.
