Kesem at USC

Kesem at USC Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Kesem at USC was founded in 2012

and supports children in the Southern California community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 80 student volunteers and serves 100 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

A special thank you to Pink Clover florals and the Pink Clover Foundation for their generous donation of their beautiful flower arrangements! We were so excited to have their support at our Make the Magic event, as their mission resonates deeply with what we strive to do at Kesem.

Pink Clover Foundation provides structured floral therapy sessions for children, including both IEP and general education students, in schools and community settings. Their sessions focus on hands-on work with flowers as a tool to help lower stress levels, increase focus and engagement, encourage creativity, and foster curiosity and learning through interaction with nature.
