Appreciation Message

As a group, I am happy to announce that one of us has gotten a fully-funded PhD. offer to Australia amidst pending admission decisions in the US. This is our first win, and we are pumped up about the achievement thay are forth coming. Over 95% of mentees have pending graduate decisions across the USA and Europe, while 2 mentees have chosen to skip this application cycle to better prepare themselves for the next.

I just want to take this time to appreciate each of our mentors for an amazing journey of selflessness, dedication, and diligence. The task they have at hand has been to give the few Akwa-Ibomite on their watch the world class mentorship they need to scale their dreams and ambitions. Thank you for giving your time and other resources towards making all these possible. While I can't bless you, I pray that God Almighty reward you graciously for your efforts, in Jesus' name, Amen.

I also want to appreciate our mentees for showing tremendous courage and drive in their journey so far. I understand how tough the graduate admission journey can be, and I am amazed by their doggedness and will to succeed. I know that you all are stars, and by God's grace, you will ALL get your "ONE YES."

6days to go!!!

Akwa-Ibom Scholars Network's key goal is to give scholars of Akwa-Ibom descent a huge boost for graduate admission abroad (particularly in the US) through process-based and thorough mentorship.

We are a group of selfless, interdisciplinary Akwa-Ibom mentors based overseas who ready to guide the next generation toward achieving their goals of gaining admission abroad.

The idea is to get them standing as mentors come the next academic cycle by God's grace, and we will keep iterating sustainably.

At this time, the group is open to highly-motivated graduates whose first degree carries first-class and second upper degrees. (Applications to join the 2024/2025 cohort closes 7th August, 2024).
