We’re officially halfway to showcase day and our campers are booked and BUSY! 📋

For our MVPers, today was shoot day! Our campers got to collaborate and direct guest artist Sarah Ann Brown to bring their story to life.

Meanwhile, our bands got their creative juices flowing and designed their very own band logos. 🎨

And what rock camp day would be complete without a little dancing? A extra special shout out and high-five tunnel for ✮ ᴘᴀʀɪꜱ ʜᴇʟᴇɴᴀ ᴇʟʏᴛᴇ ✮ and ✮ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇʟʏᴛᴇꜱ ✮ for teaching line dancing today!

We are so excited to share everything our campers are working on in just a few days!

Day 2 had lights, camera, and action! 📽️

Of course, our campers crushed instrument instruction, MVP brainstorming, and sang their hearts out in vocals!

Teach Archive Preserve Exhibit hosted a special hands-on workshop in direct animation! Our campers were able to design their own film strips and watch their art come to life on camera. WOW!

Former camper now volunteer (YAY!) Jezebel taught a Bodies in Society workshop where our campers learned to how to honor their bodies and created reminders to take home.

And of course, we rocked out in band practice and with our special lunchtime performer 𝑯𝒀𝑫!

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Day 3 🤘

Day 1 is DONE and we’ve got HIGHLIGHTS! ⚡️

✨ We made new friends and formed our bands and crews
✨ We learned about songwriting, camerawork and aced Punk 101
✨ We welcomed our lunchtime performers, Kim Theory
✨ We sang, we danced, we ROCKED!

See you all for Day 2 tomorrow 🤘

This summer, campers will take the stage at one of the legendary Troubadour!

Applications for camp are open until April 20th. Apply now at werock.la.

Our very first Camper Showcase in 2010 was at the Troubadour, and for years we held our showcases there. We’re excited to be back at this storied venue, where campers can be fully immersed in a live club show experience, while soaking in and adding to the incredible history of the space.

Ticket information will be shared as we get closer to camp week. If capacity allows, tickets will be available to the public.
