People Assisting the Homeless - PATH For more than 40 years, PATH has worked to end homelessness for individuals, families and communities across California.

PATH's mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. We do this by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California. Since 2013, we've helped more than 7,000 people move off the streets and into their own permanent homes.

Supporting our outreach teams, one kit at a time. 💙

Thank you to RWC Global for assembling and donating more than 100 hygiene kits for our outreach teams. Their team spent the afternoon putting each kit together and delivered them that same evening, ready to go out the next morning.

These kits provide essential items and immediate support to people experiencing homelessness, meeting urgent needs with care and intention.

We’re grateful for partners like RWC who show up and make a real impact in our communities.

A place to call home starts with all of us. 💙

PATH Giving Day is May 13, and your support helps more neighbors move from homelessness to housing.

Meet Craig. A U.S. Veteran who honorably served his country, Craig built a career in engineering and manufacturing across San Diego. After being diagnosed with a chronic illness, he was no longer able to work, leading to the loss of his income and, eventually, his housing.

Craig spent over a year experiencing homelessness before connecting with PATH’s HUD-VASH program. With support from his care team, he moved into supportive housing.

Today, Craig has a place to call home, a space for stability, healing, and a path forward.

This past Monday, PATH convened a group of service providers, government partners, and elected officials in Sacramento to advocate for Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) funding in this year’s state budget. Securing this funding is critical to protecting the progress we’ve made in reducing homelessness.

These funds are vital to ensure communities can continue to bring people inside and keep families from losing housing. Without this funding, more people will fall into homelessness — including people we've worked hard to house.

A special thank you to the Downtown Women's Center, Safe Place for Youth (S.P.Y), Larkin Street Youth Services, Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System, San Francisco Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing, the San Diego Housing Commission, and San Diego City Council President Joe LaCava for standing together in support of solutions.

Big energy and big smiles at dinner service 💙

This Volunteer Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating the young leaders at our San Diego Connections Interim community who showed up to prep lunches, plate meals, and support cleanup, bringing so much joy to the evening.

It’s never too early to give back, and these volunteers are a powerful reminder that making a difference can start at any age.

Moments like these reflect the impact of volunteers, creating connection, support, and a welcoming space for the neighbors we serve.

Grateful for those who show up and make our mission possible.

A vital way to reduce homelessness is to prevent it from happening in the first place. That’s why PATH is proud to work with LACAHSA to expand prevention services across Los Angeles County. Check out this feature from KCRW, which highlights one of our program participants, Del Harrison, her journey to stability, and how she’s thriving today.

Growing more than just food this Volunteer Appreciation Month 💙

Thank you to Berry Good Food for sharing this beautiful look at the garden at PATH Ivy Apartments, a space where connection grows, relationships deepen, and community takes root.

This work is made possible by volunteers who show up consistently and invest their time in creating something meaningful.

Grateful to the Whole Foods Foundation Community First Grant and Grow Oya for supporting this effort, and to every volunteer helping make it home possible. 🌱

Strengthening partnerships that nourish our communities 💙

PATH joined Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles for a Charity Partner Session, where volunteers prepared and delivered fresh meals to families at our La Cienega interim community.

Since last year, OBKLA has helped ensure families have consistent access to meals that support their well-being and stability.

Today is National Pet Day! At PATH, we understand how important it is to provide services and spaces that are pet-friendly. The love and companionship pets give to our unhoused neighbors is priceless, and we’re committed to offering support for every individual’s journey home, including their beloved pets. 🐾

Check out this feature highlighting the pet services and support PATH and our community partners provide at some of our Los Angeles sites, and see how pets help make homes a little brighter. ❤️

Home starts with you! 💙

PATH Giving Day is May 13, every dollar helps more people make it home.

Meet Emily. After experiencing housing instability, Emily and her son came to PATH’s Evans Lane family interim community ready to rebuild. With support from her case manager, she strengthened daily routines and stayed focused on her goals.

When a rapid rehousing opportunity became available, Emily took that next step. Today, she and her son are in their own home, where her son can safely walk to school, and Emily is building stability through steady work and continuing her education toward her GED.

In her new space, Emily has created a warm home for her family, from cooking meals to welcoming two dogs into their lives. Reflecting on her journey, she shared gratitude for the encouragement and support that helped her move forward.

Smiles, laughter, and a little springtime fun! 💙

At PATH’s Riverside Families Interim Community, neighbors came together for a celebration filled with homemade meals and a fun egg hunt for families.

Grateful to Jessica and her family, along with the Franklin Hills Residents Association, for making this day so special.
