One of the highlights of my CultureCon experience was having the opportunity to share the heart behind my book, Given Up on Purpose.

During this conversation, I talked about Chapter 2, “Positioned to Be Given Up,” which was one of the hardest chapters for me to write, and Chapter 7, “Pray for the Me That Nobody Knows,” which is my personal favorite.

Writing this book required me to revisit some places in my life that I had moved on from but hadn’t necessarily made peace with.

What I’ve come to understand is that God has a way of taking the very things that were meant to break us and using them to develop us.

I don’t believe anything I’ve experienced was wasted, and I don’t believe anything you’ve experienced has to be wasted either.

If you’ve ever struggled with rejection, abandonment, identity, or trying to understand the purpose behind your pain, I believe this book will speak to you.

If you haven’t already, I would love for you to purchase a copy of Given Up on Purpose. Available now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other online bookstores.

And if you’ve already read it, tell me which chapter spoke to you the most!
