Sharing Hands LA makes food & care packages on the 1st Saturday of the month in Granada Hills, California & distributes them to the Homeless on skid row in Los Angeles. Sharing Hands is a group of people who gather on the 1st Saturday of each month to make food and care packages for the Homeless in Los Angeles. Around 90 people are involved in this project. We fill a bag with a meat & cheese sandw
ich, potato chips, a fruit cup, a granola bar & a bottle of water. We sometimes add socks, blankets, jackets, etc. We distribute over 1,000 bags each month. If you are interested in joining us please send me a message. Who are we to judge if the person deserves a care package or not. We see a fellow human who is hungry and we feed them. “Charity sees the need, Not the cause”
Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work. -Mother Teresa
Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but the poor need the work of your hands and your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go. -Mother Teresa
