Share Our Stories is a program of Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust that connects Holocaust Survivors with students from under-resourced schools for conversation and creative exploration. In engagements at the Museum and in their classrooms, students confront a powerful history told first hand, find relationships between Survivors’ personal narratives and their personal lives, and discover their

own voices. This LAMOTH education program, first piloted at Locke High School, connects students from under-resourced schools with Holocaust Survivors for conversation and creative exploration. Following the extraordinary experience at Locke High School, we customized the program for a second Green Dot Charter School, Animo Ralph Bunche. Subsequent to their experience at the Museum and with staff and Holocaust Survivors in the classroom, these 10th grade students created individual art pieces that reflected powerful themes that resonated with them such as hope, miracles, perseverance, love, strength, and memory. These were then gathered to contribute to collective hanging mobiles, some of which were gifted to the Museum.
