Since our last emergency campaign, several families affected by gang violence in Haiti have safely returned home and begun the difficult process of rebuilding their lives and livelihoods.
With your support, families have been able to address urgent needs, replace essential materials, and regain a sense of stability during an incredibly difficult time.
We’re seeing that support translate into real progress:
Nanise received critical health support that helped her safely deliver her twins and avoid complications from eclampsia. Now, as a graduate family member, she is relocating to the countryside and taking another step toward a safer, more stable future.
Tony, whose recycling center was heavily damaged during the violence, has started buying plastic again and rebuilding his business.
Marie Therese, who lost her materials in a fire, is also working to restart her recycling activities with the support she received from WORK.
The situation in Haiti remains incredibly challenging, but these families are moving forward — rebuilding their homes, restoring their livelihoods, and creating new paths for their futures.
This month, the remaining families will graduate from our emergency support program. Their stories are a reminder that even in the aftermath of crisis, recovery is possible when families have the resources and support they need to rebuild. ❤️
