1 plastic life is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on reducing plastic pollution in low income communities by providing job training opportunity

What cause your charity supports?

1.Environmental sustainability.
2. Homeless, underprivileged, and at-risk youth.
3. We create recycling programs for businesses and organizations by giving them our collection bins to place materials for recycling.
4. We are a Certified Community Service Recycling Program with CalRecycle.
5. We facilitate hands-on educational recycling demonstrations at schools a

nd festivals using our equipment.

1.Our goals as a charity are to be a resource of education, to inspire sustainable living, and the importance of recycling by providing information and jobs to all people, emphasizing on the homeless, underprivileged, and at-risk youth. How:
1 Plastic Life has plastic recycling machines to use in educational demonstrations and to provide income-producing products.


2. We provide life-changing resources. How:
1PlasticLife is building partnerships with organizations that provide homeless resources and adding them to our database where we can track progress and refer them to the help they need. Vision

At 1 Plastic Life, our vision is to have a clean and sustainable planet by creating a world where plastic recycling infrastructure can be easily accessible to anyone and everyone. Focusing on Los Angeles communities, we are creating opportunities to provide life-improving resources to people in need. We are committed to the environment and to helping people that want to better their lives by boosting the economy while creating a more sustainable world.

Middle School is Leading a Sustainability Revolution! ♻️

Imagine a school where plastic waste is no longer the norm where every student takes action to protect the planet. That’s exactly what’s happening at El Sereno Middle School, and it’s only the beginning!

Through our recycling program, we’ve been educating students on plastic pollution, recycling, and reducing plastic consumption. Now, thanks to the school’s incredible leadership and dedicated teachers, every student is receiving reusable utensils an initiative that will eliminate hundreds of thousands of single-use plastic sporks!

This isn’t just a small change. It’s a movement. A shift in mindset. A testament to what’s possible when schools take action.

I want to personally recognize the teachers and staff who believe in this mission, who are leading the way for sustainability in education, and proving that real change starts here. is setting a new standard for schools across the district and beyond.

Big news! has been named a Top Magnet School of Excellence Merit Award recipient, a prestigious honor from (MSA) recognizing excellence in education, curriculum innovation, and community impact.

This award is given to schools ranked among the highest in the “excellence category”, making them eligible to receive monetary awards and national recognition as one of the country’s Top Magnet Schools. Seeing our program contribute to this achievement reinforces how sustainability and education go hand in hand.

This April, the award will be officially presented at MSA’s National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee a gathering of top educators and innovators from across the country.

This isn’t just about us it’s about what’s possible when a community comes together. To the teachers, staff, and students who believed in this program and helped make it a success, thank you! This award proves that when we take action, we create real-world impact.

At 1 PLASTIC LIFE we’re not just teaching students about plastic pollution and recycling we’re building a movement. We’re creating job training opportunities, providing resources for those in need, and proving that innovative solutions can transform communities.

Every small action adds up to meaningful change. These photos capture a moment where I set up on the street to clean and sort materials collected from El Sereno Middle School. This wasn’t just about washing materials—it was about building a connection.

In moments like this, I’m reminded of the importance of understanding—of taking the time to learn about someone’s journey and the circumstances that led them to where they are. Change begins with empathy. It begins with asking, “How can I help?” and “What do you need?”

These small steps matter. They form a path toward better circumstances—not just for one person, but for all of us. Little by little, as we learn, grow, and take action, we move closer to creating a better world.
