Reconstruction Moto Atelier

Reconstruction Moto Atelier Online forums have taken the place, or maybe rather, filled the void left by salons of the past.

Reconstruction Moto Atelier focuses on the fundamentals of riding, developing riding skills and strategies through training, learning basic maintenance and mentoring. Even though online forums and other forms of social media are interactive, they can never replace face-to-face interactions and conversations. Atelier: a workshop or studio, especially of an artist, artisan, or designer. Forum: an

assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion
of questions of public interest. Salon: an assembly of guests in such a room, especially an assembly, common
during the 17th and 18th centuries, consisting of the leaders in society,
art, politics, etc

Although there is some overlap, the motorcycling community is segmented. Often based on the type of bike, style of riding, level of experience and even age, race and gender. Here are some of the categories:
-sportbikes
-dual-sport/enduro/dirt bike
-cruisers
-vintage/cafe
-off-road (racing)
-commuters
-touring/sport-touring
-stunters
-scooters
-trikes (three-wheeled motorcycles and scooters)
-beginners
-veterans
-motorcycle social clubs

Regardless of how riders identify themselves within (or even outside of) the motorcycling community, they do have some common goals: Being safe and riding as long as you can while experiencing the ride to it's fullest. Our goal is to be able to provide riders with the tools to do just that. By focusing on the fundamentals of riding, developing riding skills and strategies through training, learning basic maintenance and mentoring. We also provide resources and form a network for the services that we won't be able to offer. This is how we include the local shops and motorcycle related businesses in what we're doing. Ultimately we will be partners in getting more people to ride and encourage many to be life-long riders and explore the various avenues of motorcycling. I don't believe everyone should ride a motorcycle but I do believe that if someone has the desire, they should try it and it should be life altering in a positive way.
