Meet our three little adventurers looking for their forever homes!

🐾ADOPTABLE KITTEN #1 — Felix the Fearless (sleek calico/tiger mix)
🐾Age: 8–10 weeks
🐾Personality: Brave, curious, confident
🐾Best home: Active families, homes with other pets, people who love playful energy
🐾Description:
Felix is a sleek, tiger‑striped calico boy with a bold heart and a gentle soul. He explores every room like he owns it, but he’s also incredibly affectionate once he decides you’re part of his pride. Felix loves climbing, chasing toys, and leading his siblings on adventures. He’s fearless but not reckless — smart, observant, and very people‑focused.

🐾 ADOPTABLE KITTEN #2 — Magic (tiny black runt with mighty spirit)
🐾Age: 8–10 weeks
🐾Personality: Mighty, playful, affectionate
🐾Best home: Any loving home; great with kids and other animals
🐾Description:
Magic may be the smallest of the trio, but he has the biggest personality. This tiny black fluffball is bold, bright, and full of spark. He plays hard, purrs loudly, and loves curling up on warm laps after a big adventure. Magic is the kind of kitten who makes you laugh daily — he hops, he pounces, he tries to act bigger than he is, and it’s adorable every time.

🐾 ADOPTABLE KITTEN #3 — Tigra (grey fluffy calico with tiger spirit)
🐾Age: 8–10 weeks
🐾Personality: Soft, observant, gentle, secretly wild
🐾Best home: Calm homes, patient adopters, or families who appreciate a sweet, fluffy companion
🐾Description:
Tigra is a rare grey fluffball calico with the soul of a tiny tiger. She’s cautious at first, watching the world with big thoughtful eyes, but once she trusts you, she becomes a warm, purring cloud. Tigra has a playful streak — she’ll stalk toys like a jungle cat — but she’s also incredibly soft, cuddly, and tender. She loves cozy spots, gentle pets, and quiet bonding moments.

🐥 More little lives are hatching! 💛

Our duck family is growing, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome these precious ducklings into the world. Every new hatchling is another reminder of why rescue and proper care matter.

As they grow, they need more space to roam safely and shelter to protect them from predators like hawks. We’re currently expanding their enclosure, and these costs are coming directly out of pocket.

If you’d like to help us give these little ones a safe place to grow, any donation—big or small—makes a difference. Your support helps provide fencing, shelter, food, and the care they deserve.

Text Paula at 3232406155 for Donation ❤️

Thank you for being part of our rescue family.

HOLISTIC PET CARE HACK: Why that "Natural" Flea Remedy Might Be Toxic to Your Pups.

As a health food store owner, I love finding natural solutions to everyday problems. But when it comes to keeping our pets safe from fleas, some of the most common advice on the internet is downright dangerous!

A huge trend right now is using Eucalyptus Essential Oil in the laundry or around the house to kill fleas. 🛑 STOP right there!

While it opens up human airways beautifully, eucalyptus contains a chemical compound called eucalyptol. Dogs lack the liver enzymes to process it, meaning inhaling or absorbing it can lead to severe respiratory distress, lethargy, or worse.

Instead, walk into the store today and grab these 3 Holistic, Vet-Backed, 100% Dog-Safe Alternative Shields:

1️⃣ The Cedarwood Weapon 🌲
Cedarwood is a natural neurotoxin to fleas, ticks, and their eggs—but it’s entirely safe and deeply relaxing for your dog.

2️⃣ The "Inside-Out" Skin Armor 🥥
Want to make your dog taste terrible to a passing flea? Lauric acid is a powerful parasite deterrent. Add 1 teaspoon of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil per 10 lbs of body weight directly into their morning food bowl.

3️⃣ The Ultimate Yard Defense: Beneficial Nematodes 🌿
Did you know 95% of a flea problem lives in the soil and environment, not on the dog? Instead of spraying toxic chemicals on your lawn, spray Beneficial Nematodes.

Come visit us at the store this week to stock up on pure cedarwood, organic coconut oil, and raw apple cider vinegar to build an airtight holistic shield for your fur babies! 👇

This is what one of our animal enclosures looks like today, a safe space shared by some very special residents. 💚

One of them is a sweet cat who came to us while battling Stage 4 cancer and serious liver issues. Today, she's doing so much better and absolutely loves spending her days outdoors. In fact, even when the door is left open, she chooses to stay right where she feels safe and loved.

Stories like hers remind us why rescue matters. Every animal deserves a chance, comfort, and a place to call home.

Your support helps us provide food, shelter, medical care, and continue giving animals like her the second chance they deserve.

🐾 Thank you for being part of their journey.

Big dreams start with a plan. 💚

In this video, Paula shares her vision for expanding a safe, secure outdoor space where birds can roam, nest, enjoy sunlight, and stay protected at night. The goal is to add fencing, create natural shelter areas, and even establish a small garden where we can grow fruits and vegetables for the animals.

Every improvement at Pawla's Pets is designed to give rescued animals a better quality of life, more room to explore, more enrichment, and a safer environment to thrive.

Your support helps turn these plans into reality and creates a brighter future for every animal in our care.

Look at these adorable ducks enjoying their morning walk through the grass! They know exactly what's happening when it's time to explore, and they're growing bigger every day. Watching them waddle through the greenery and seeing their personalities shine is one of the best parts of rescue work.

Every donation helps us continue caring for animals like these sweet ducks and move one step closer to securing long-term funding through grants.

🐣 Huge News from the Farm! (And a Pupdate!) 🐾
We went out to water the ducks yesterday and were greeted by the absolute best surprise: Mama duck’s hard work has officially paid off, and 15 beautiful little ducklings have hatched! 🦆💛

As if our hands weren't full enough with fluffy cuteness, here is a quick update on the three St. Bernard puppies we are currently fostering. They are growing like weeds, doing wonderfully, and will be officially ready for adoption very soon! Keep your eyes peeled for their official adoption post. 🐶✨

🛠️ We Need Your Help: Project Fencing & Coops!
With 15 new feathered friends and three giant-breed puppies running around, our sanctuary is growing faster than our current setups can handle. To keep everyone safe, happy, and secure, we urgently need to expand. We are puting out a call for assistance with fencing and building more duck cages/coops.

How you can help:

Materials: Do you have spare lumber, hardware cloth, chicken wire, fencing panels, or posts taking up space in your garage?

Skills: Are you handy with a hammer? We would love volunteers willing to donate a few hours of their time to help us build and secure these enclosures.

If you can donate materials, funds, or your building expertise, please reach out to us directly!

📱 Contact Us: 323-240-6155

Thank you all for your incredible, ongoing support. We couldn't do this vital rescue work without our amazing community! Please share this post to help us spread the word! 🙏❤️

✨ We Need Your Help to Keep Our Sanctuary Going ✨
For 6 years, we’ve fostered, rescued, and provided sanctuary to over 180 pups — seniors, hospice, tiny ones, and big pups who needed a soft place to land. We’ve always operated from love, not money, relying only on donated blankets, beds, bowls, leashes, and supplies.
Because we never collected funds, we didn’t know nonprofits must still file annual zero‑dollar tax forms. That misunderstanding caused us to lose our nonprofit status — and now we need $650 to reinstate it and continue our mission.
This $650 brings our nonprofit back up and running so we can keep saving pups who depend on us.
We also need help improving the backyard — the heart of our sanctuary and the reason we started this nonprofit. After years of pups, weather, gophers, two fallen trees, bad gardeners, and broken pipes, the yard needs attention. It’s not unsafe, but it could be much safer with repairs. The ground has sunken areas from gopher tunnels, rain, and digging, and we need to fix the pipes to keep the grass healthy for the dogs.
We’re hoping for support with:
🐾 Safe fencing or galvanized panels to separate pups when needed
🐾 More dog houses for comfort and shelter
🐾 Fixing broken pipes and leveling sunken areas
🐾 A dog wash area (we already have the perfect water line!)
🐾 A safe water play pool where pups can cool off without risk
🐾 And eventually, a small income to pay someone to help manage the sanctuary a few hours a day
We want to welcome larger pups again, but proper fencing and a safer yard will make that possible.
Every bit of support — financial or supplies — helps us continue giving pups a safe, loving place to heal and grow.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us continue the work we started. ❤️🐶

So we are asking help at $650 to continue as a non profit as I messed up. I didn't realize since we didn't accept any donations $ donations we didn't file taxes. We received blankets, food, bowls, cages, and the pharmaceuticals. We really need fencing and new independent cages, etc. We really want to help more pups. We can only help smaller dogs and puppies since we have ducks etc. We are going to create a better caged area that alleviates the pups from barking at the neighbors and give the ducks a lot more room.
