To our community,

For the last 14 years, this group has been built one room, one conversation, and one connection at a time.

What started as Startup Coil grew through consistency, curiosity, and a shared belief that real opportunity comes from being around the right people. Over the years, that belief showed up through events many of you know well, LA Tech Happy Hour, Startup Cafe, AI Cafe, Pitch Purpose, Elevator Labs, Startup Arena, and Demo Day LA. Each one helped shape a community rooted in access, collaboration, and showing up for each other.

Today, we’re excited to share that Startup Coil and Demo Day LA are officially being merged into and acquired by Nerdstage.

This next chapter allows us to keep building on what already works.

Over time, the community has grown to more than 50,000 founders, operators, investors, and builders, alongside strong relationships with angel investors and VC firms who consistently show up to listen, give feedback, and support what’s being built. Those connections, paired with an engaged and active community, are what make these rooms matter.

Nerdstage gives us the ability to support that momentum at a larger scale, expand into new cities, and deepen the founder–investor relationships that have always been at the core of this ecosystem.

To everyone who’s been part of this over the last 14 years, thank you. And if you’re building in the startup or tech space and looking for a community grounded in real connection and real access, we’d love for you to be part of what comes next.
