We showed up strong in Inglewood!

Western States Carpenters & South LA Local 91 came together at the Inglewood Unified School District Board Meeting to fight for our students’ future.

Not every student will choose college, and they deserve real options. Our Career Connections CTE program is a smart investment in giving them skills, opportunities, and a pathway forward. There are multiple projects that IUSD are doing under construction or in development and we are advocating that The Board members implement a PLA/community student workforce agreement moving forward that will prioritize students that have taken the CTE -construction readiness program like our Career Connections training.
When we stand shoulder to shoulder, we don’t just get noticed, we make change happen.

This is how we build power. This is how we win.

At the Lynwood City Council Meeting, we proudly presented on the importance of implementing a Construction Industry Transparency Ordinance, a critical step toward accountability, fairness, and protecting workers. We want to give a big thank you to every member who came out and stood in unity. Your presence made a powerful statement. When we stand shoulder to shoulder together, we don’t just get noticed, we make change happen.
