April is Medicaid Awareness Month — a time to make sure you and your family have access to the healthcare you deserve.

Medicaid (known as Medi-Cal in California) provides free or low-cost health coverage for individuals and families who qualify—and many people are eligible without realizing it.

You may qualify if you:
• Have a low income
• Are pregnant
• Have children
• Are a senior or living with a disability
• Are a college student meeting income requirements

Whether you’re working, in school, or between jobs, coverage may still be available to you.

At Kedren Community Health Center, we’re here to help you understand your options and take the next step.

📞 Contact Kedren today to find out if you qualify for Medicaid (Medi-Cal).

🖤 Every pregnancy journey should begin with access to timely, respectful, and high-quality care.
At Kedren Health, we help patients take the first critical steps—starting with pregnancy testing and connecting you to trusted OB/GYN providers for ongoing prenatal care. While we don’t offer full prenatal services, our team plays an essential role in ensuring referrals, coordination, and guidance so you’re not navigating the system alone.
During Black Maternal Health Week and beyond, we remain committed to improving access to care and helping reduce barriers that can delay early prenatal support—because early connection matters for healthier outcomes.

📞 Think you may be pregnant or need an OB/GYN referral? Contact Kedren to get started and let us help you connect to the care you deserve. 323.234.0616

Together, we can help create safer, healthier futures for mothers and families.

Tonight’s wellness tip: try a Digital Sunset.

A Digital Sunset means putting your phone, tablet, or computer away about 30 minutes before bedtime. Giving your mind a break from screens can help improve sleep, reduce stress, and allow your brain to fully relax before rest.

Instead of screen time, consider:
• Reading
• Gentle stretching
• Journaling
• Quiet reflection

Small changes in daily habits can make a big difference in overall health.

At Kedren Community Health Center, we encourage simple wellness practices that support better sleep and mental health.
