It’s been one year since Point Alum Katie Batza published “AIDS in the Heartland.” 🌈

Katie’s work explores LGBTQ+ and ally communities across the Midwest and helps bring more attention to stories that often go overlooked.

She also chairs Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Kansas and has mentored Point Scholars at KU.

We’re proud to celebrate Katie’s work and the ways Point Alumni continue to contribute through research, education, and community.

Point Alum Caitlin Wright is already making an impact in the legal field. ⚖️

This spring, Caitlin received the Student Leadership Award from the LGBTQ+ Bar. This fall, Caitlin will begin a new role as an immigration staff attorney at GMHC in New York.

Point is preparing to celebrate 25 years of supporting LGBTQ+ and ally students as they pursue their education and leadership potential. Caitlin represents the newest generation carrying that legacy forward.
