Happy Adoption Star âď¸
We first rescued Star about six years ago. She was so youngâpure light, energy, and loveâand we instantly fell in love with her. She hadnât been properly socialized with dogs or people, so we invested in her training, her care, and her future. After a few months, we thought weâd found the perfect family. On paper, they seemed amazing. They adopted Star and had her for years.
Then, out of nowhere, we got a call from the Orange County shelter: Star had been found abandoned on the streets and was now in their care. We immediately contacted her adopters. They apologized and promised to pick her up right away⌠but they never came.
We knew we were her only hope. We made a plan and went to get her. Star was sick, had a tumor, and needed extensive medical care. Once she began to heal, another challenge came: no one was stepping up to foster her. Not because we werenât tryingâwe worked endlessly. Not because Star wasnât deservingâshe absolutely is. It just felt like the stars werenât aligning yet.
So we kept her safe the only way we could: we paid for boarding and training to set her up for success. Months went by. Then we finally found out why the wait had been so long. Starâs original foster from years ago was browsing our website, hoping to find an update on her. And there she was: Star, still waiting for her forever home. đĄ
They reached out immediately and offered to foster her again. A couple of months later, the news weâd all been praying for: itâs a foster fail. Star is ADOPTED. She is home. She will never, ever have to worry again.
We are tremendously grateful to our trainer, , for setting Star up for success with her new family, and to every single one of you who supported her journey along the way.âĽď¸
Please help us celebrate Star and spread the word: like, comment, share, and help more dogs like Star get their second chance at life. â¨
