Meet Lauren LaTour, a Trojan whose passion for serving her community goes beyond skin deep!
Lauren recently graduated from the Keck School of Medicine PA program and now practices as a Physician Assistant providing dermatology and wound care services in Los Angeles. Her day-to-day involves both helping people feel confident in their skin while providing clinical treatment and support through the healing process.
At USC, Lauren honed her perspectives through exposure, where her training program took her across multiple specialties and from Los Angeles, to San Diego, all the way to the North Shore of Oahu. She received the prestigious Town & Gown Scholarship in recognition of her strong academic performance and involvement beyond the classroom.
Lauren’s philanthropy extends beyond the classroom and her day job. Volunteering as a surf instructor for children with autism, she has watched them overcome behavioral challenges to build confidence, and has also found meaning in doing reforestation work in Ecuador.
An inspiration to all, Lauren is a shining example of someone who is actively involved in community-based initiatives to support the larger goal of global health efforts. Fight on, Lauren!✌️
