We strive to empower individuals to become self-efficient. We also strive to maintain their pride and dignity through helping them maintain in the community by providing them with the necessary tools needed to succeed. We are a Non-Profit Organization geared towards helping to uplift the Homeless and Low-Income Community by helping them to obtain the necessary tools to survive in society. Our goal
is to provide the Homeless and Low-Income with resources such as Housing, Food, Clothing, Showers, Education Classes, and Meetings. We plan to assist with Job Readiness and Preparation, Parent Education Classes, Money Management Classes, Life Skills Classes, as well as Drug, Alcohol and Domestic Violence Classes to those that need them. We plan to help with housing problems by providing referrals. We also plan to provide low cost or no cost medical and dental at least 2 days out of the week for individuals with no medical insurance. We also plan to get computers for our clients to come in and use to link up to different resources. We also plan to have a Barber and Beauty Day for homeless people to come in and get their hair done for Low or No Cost. We will also have Movie Nights and other activities for families to come out and enjoy themselves. We also want to provide Food donations at least once a week to families and individuals that need them. We also would like to provide a Free Hot Meal at least once a month. I would also like to provide Bible Study and other religious services that may be needed or requested. Soul Searching Foundation has been around since 2014. My name is Tamika Osborne and I have been facilitating this organization for about 7 years now. I have been using own resources to spread the word of my non-profit and to try to obtain donations from different people and organizations. I have done community events for Thanksgiving; I gave out toys for Christmas which I brought with my own money and with help from my family. In July of last year, we had our 1st Annual Fun in the Sun Day. This year we will be having our second annual Fun in the Sun Day. My Ultimate goal is obtaining a facility to network out of and if big enough to provide shelter. If not big enough to maintain shelter then I will be looking to obtain 2 locations. I am asking for help with anything anyone will be willing to help with. We need donations for a facility to work out of. We also are asking for food and clothes donations. We are asking for donations in Women, Men and Children sizes. We are also asking for people to come out and help us give back to the community when we do our events.
