Where we come from
Rico, 29, a surfer coming from southern California was the one who initiated the organization “help the dolphins” together with his fellow roommates, Mia 27, and Alex, 27.
“We are all passionate surfers and honestly care about sea life and the environment”, Alex states. “As surfers we do get in contact with so many different species and we are really greatful for that experience
. The reason why we started our organization is that we want to help dolphins and whales to survive their extinction. We first stared with smaller parties and events to collect as much as possible. In 2017 we decided to start an online shop to reach a bigger audience.”
How much is actually donated? During the past few years we’ve saved maybe up to 80% of all earnings and just payed some fees and some marketing material we had to pay for. Today – and this is easier to explain – besides paying the artists from the US and overseas an honest price for their work and products, we keep just as little as it costs us to maintain our website and shop (which is approx. $300 – $400 a month). All the rest goes into our donation activities and other social, environmental projects that help us help the dolphins worldwide.
