Bilalian Halal Association

Bilalian Halal Association Making Halal the Community's Business The Bilalian Halal Association is a 501c non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Delaware in 2013.

The Bilalian Halal Association is designed to bring the responsibility for halal certification, standardization, and implementation to the Bilalian community in America. We believe halal to be the community's business. The responsibility to bear the standard, and the revenue generated by that effort is our trust, responsibility, and resource. Our mission is to provide quality assurance to the hala

l industry, and to eliminate the discrepancies in the regulation of the halal standard. Our intention is to engage our entire community to be involved in the process of regulating the halal standard. The Bilalian Halal Association will be the sole representative of the Bilalian community, and the codification, certification, and branding will be regulated by our membership. Our masjids, imams, and general membership will all be involved in establishing and maintaining the halal standard. Our unique 27 point grading system will inspect and regulate all aspects of halal certification. We will not only certify halal products, but also production and packaging. We will assure our community that our products are not only the finest available, but also that every product is produced by the most stringent humane and ethical means. We will engage our community to establish and maintain the most comprehensive database of haram products, ingredients and processes

Our plan to implement this high degree of certification is to involve the entire Bilalian community in the effort. Our inspectors, administrators, and representatives will be from the Bilalian community., Additional we will engage our community to report any oversights or violations they may witness. We will establish a 1-800 number to provide information to the community, as well as to report new developments, code violations, and oversights. Our inspections and certifications will be maintained through our organization members from within our masjids. Each masjid will be a member and benefactor of the Bilalian Halal Association, and the recipient of all residual income generated from this effort,

We believe our organization will insure not only the highest standards of halal, but also will insure our community will share in the benefits of our efforts. This benefit will include monies disbursed yearly to all benefactor masjids and may be used for such endeavors as building schools, providing humanitarian services, emergency housing, counseling, and aid to families. Additionally we will provide scholarships for students, and investment in the growth of our community businesses. The Bilalian Halal Association believes halal is the standard given to our community by Allah. The halal standard is meant to uplift and purify the community which embraces that standard. We do not believe this responsibility should be borne by private businesses and individuals. We believe halal is a standard for all things in human life, and therefore a community resource, bestowed upon us by our faith. We will work to gather that resource for our community betterment. We are calling on all masjids, imams, business and professionals, and general members of our community to become involved with the Bilalian Halal Association. We believe the Bilalian community to represent the largest and oldest segment of the community of Muslims in America, and therefore best able to bear the responsibility for bringing halal to the forefront of human life. The Bilalian Halal Association is the sole administrator of the Bilal Halal service trademark.

HOW MUCH DOES BLACK SEED OIL COST?

Black seed oil – also known as kalonji oil in Arab countries- comes in a variety of sizes and volumes, based on your needs. When you buy black seed oil, you are going to pay as little as $1 per fl oz in very large quantities and up to $10 per fl oz in some cases on very small volumes.

The purity and quality and extraction and place of origin will also impact black seed oil prices.

ORGANIC VS NON-ORGANIC

Non-organic black seed oil will cost LESS than organic black seed oil. This of course is true for most food and food-based products that come from seeds, fruit (like olives) or grain. Organic is a certification that ensures the product being produced is not subject to herbicides, pesticides, or other artificial means of growing or production. If you see the “USDA Organic” or “Certified Organic” seal on black seed oil, then it must have an ingredients list. And, the contents must be 95% or more certified organic, meaning free of synthetic additives like pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and dyes, and must not be processed using industrial solvents in any way.

PURITY AND EXTRACTION METHODS AFFECT PRICES

Oils are pressed out of fruits, seeds and grain and so a first press is considered extra virgin. Virgin oil may be extracted on a second pressing. And “pure” oil may be extracted using heat or chemicals

First cold press or extra virgin black seed oil will usually also cost more than what is consider pure black seed oil.

PLACE OF ORIGIN

Black seed oil comes from a variety of locations in the world. It is produced in China, India, Malaysia and other Asian countries. It is also produced in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other parts of the Middle East. In some cases the seeds are imported to the country of sale and then they are pressed. For example you may see “pressed in the USA” on a label of black seed oil. This means that the black cumin seeds were imported into the United States and then pressed to extract the oil. It would also be bottled in the U.S. under this circumstance too. The location of production may impact the price, as the cost to ship the seed or pressed oil will need to be factored into the final price.

Diabetes is a chronic condition characterized by high levels of sugars in the blood. It affects 28.5 million people, or 8.3 percent of the U.S. population, according to the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse. The disease occurs due to reduced production of the pancreatic hormone insulin, or due to reduced sensitivity of muscle, liver and fat cells to the hormone. Common symptoms include blurred vision, frequent urination, fatigue, weight loss and thirst. Along with a healthy diet, exercise and medications, certain herbs such as black seeds, and black seed oil might also help manage the condition.
