We Make Democracy Work Founded in 2004, OneLA is the largest and most diverse broad-based organizing network in Los Angeles County.

With more than 65 member congregations, schools, nonprofits and unions, we work intentionally across the cultural, geographic and socio-economic boundaries that often isolate us and limit our capacity to effect change. At OneLA, we believe that power - the ability to act and effect change - derives from organized people. We build power by developing leadership inside strong, diverse and growing or

ganizations and institutions all across the Greater Los Angeles areas. We organize by building relationships within and between institutions, identifying and researching issues of mutual self-interest, and taking disciplined, organized action. Our leaders and organizers carefully craft public spaces where ordinary people learn, practice, and participate as citizens in the fullest sense: participants in democratic decision-making and agents of creation of a more just society through the exercise of relational power. One LA is affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the oldest and largest national organizing and leadership development network in the United States.

Wednesday night One LA-IAF leaders welcomed Bishop Matthew Elshoff to a house meeting at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church - Los Angeles

On Sunday, 50 One LA Leaders organized a civic academy training focused on the 2024 Ballot Measures & to discuss important local issues like the Caregiving Economy.
