A Transitional Earned-Revenue Grassroots Campaign
By2020 is a movement to cause every girl on the planet to be in school by year 2020. The By2020 goal and mission is perhaps the most important sector on the forefront of a comprehensive and transitional global effort to empower and liberate women and girls educationally, economically and socially within their cultures. This economic business model
will contribute 20% of gross sales of By2020 items toward an ongoing partnership effort supporting non-governmental organizations that are actively working to educate girls and empower women. Private sector for-profit businesses will participate in the revenue-generating campaign. Companies meeting GWEL criterion will contribute specific products that will be sold on a By2020.com shopping cart. 20% of gross sales of those products will be applied ongoing to the field-org partnership effort. Day Of The Woman, a pop music single will be released March 2015 by Kelsey Carlstedt, Ivory Cunanan and Rachel Verret. The message is simply ‘women uniting to empower women ’and the music video and song release are being developed to carry the message around the world in the universal language of music. Day Of The Woman will be subsequently released in different languages sung by different artists who will also participate. NGOs that are actively and specifically working to keep girls in school in their communities under challenging circumstances including by paying their tuition and providing school books, uniforms and other related items will be supported in this effort and account. Also, organizations working in other capacities to advance women and girls educationally and economically are being made beneficiaries because of the unique cultural and economic circumstances of this complex social and economic issue. By2020 is a GWEL Economic Initiative and part of its comprehensive grassroots movement for women empowerment. Promoting social and economic advancement of women and girls in a more broad approach in any region or culture itself is a direct form of promoting education of girls and a significant part of the long-term solution to this global concern. The global epidemic of lack of education for girls is a generational perpetuating problem that can be directly tied to extreme poverty and the oppression of women in general. The liberation of women in cultures where they now suffer oppression is the only permanent and long term solution that will cause change on this planet. The By2020 Economic Initiative is designed to be a plan that grows and perpetuates for decades to come and it is positioned as an integral part of the comprehensive GWEL campaign. By uniform effort we CAN cause an end to this critical human rights concern and its lasting detrimental consequences. Achieving a raised socio economic status for women in impoverished and undeveloped countries and throughout the world is the only solution to current problems that many nations face and the availability of education for girls of all ages is a critical element of this long term global transition.
