Saving Innocence

Saving Innocence We support children & adults impacted by human trafficking through advocacy & systems of care.

Using a highly relational and collaborative approach, we give children on-the-ground help exclusively in the U.S. by utilizing strategic partnerships with law enforcement, social service providers and schools, while mobilizing communities to prevent abuse and increase neighborhood safety. Saving Innocence provides advocacy and case management services to Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (

CSEC) in Los Angeles. We work closely with Probation, DCFS, FBI, and law enforcement in Southern California. We are also a team of professionals who train law enforcement, attorneys, probation officers, social workers, teachers, and other leaders in the community who work on the front lines with these children (even though most do not realize that they do). We train alongside lead human trafficking detectives to give a comprehensive understanding of this victim population. We instruct on how to identify victims, build human trafficking cases, and provide aftercare resources.

The world came to Los Angeles. And behind the scenes, a community was ready. 💙

Throughout the World Cup matches in LA, as the co-leader of the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force alongside LA County Sheriff's Department and an extraordinary network of community partners helped ensure that our city was prepared; not only to recognize human trafficking, but to respond with coordination, compassion and meaningful support.

✅We trained those most likely to see the signs.
✅We helped bring awareness into spaces across Los Angeles.
✅We strengthened systems of response.
✅And when individuals impacted by trafficking were identified, our advocates were there offering support, resources and the opportunity to choose what came next.

Because at Saving Innocence, our work has never been about “rescuing” survivors. It's about walking alongside people as they reclaim safety, choice, possibility and power in their own lives.

During one operation surrounding the World Cup, 12 survivors were identified and recovered and 12 chose to continue receiving support from Saving Innocence. That number means so much to us. Trust cannot be assumed. It is built. Through consistency, dignity, showing up and honoring each survivor as the expert in their own life.

The World Cup gave Los Angeles an opportunity to build something bigger: a coordinated framework that will continue strengthening our region as we prepare for Super Bowl LXI and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. But major sporting events are only part of the story. Human trafficking happens every day. And long after the stadium lights go dark, Saving Innocence is still here ❤️

In June, Saving Innocence hosted our very first SLAY Conference: “Becoming the Leader of Your Own Life”!

SLAY stands for the Survivor Leadership Academy for Youth, a survivor centered leadership program established by Saving Innocence in 2018 designed to equip survivor leaders with intentional mentorship and practical skills by cultivating community and opportunities to grow with confidence and purpose.

This conference celebrated the leadership that was already in the room. Through workshops, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences, survivor leaders were given opportunities to build new skills, strengthen connections, and embrace their power.

To every survivor leader who joined us: thank you for your courage, authenticity, and willingness to lead. To our incredible sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community partners: we couldn’t have done it without you!

Two special shoutouts: Altadena Girls, thank you for helping create a space where leadership, belonging, and hope could flourish. Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, thank you for creating funding opportunities that allow us to create engaging and empowering spaces like this completely dedicated to community and growth.

The future isn’t something these remarkable survivor leaders are waiting for, they’re already shaping it, leading it, and showing us the way!💗

Serving others starts with caring for one another. 🤍

In work that can be emotionally demanding, these moments allow our team to recharge and reconnect. We enjoyed a day of perfume making, a shared meal, and quality time together.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible donors and supporters for making days like these possible.✨

It was an honor to be invited to share about the important work we get to be a part of and to highlight survivors and their resilience. Shoutout to our Director of Programs, Sara, who represented us so wonderfully. Thank you CBS LA and Sheba Turk for having us! ❤️

Today, as the world tunes in for the first FIFA World Cup match, we’re reminded that the game’s impact extends far beyond the field.

Major sporting events bring people together but they can also create opportunities for exploitation. That’s why Saving Innocence is proud to support the North America 2026 Human Trafficking Prevention Campaign in partnership with It's a Penalty working to raise awareness, strengthen prevention efforts, and connect survivors to critical resources.

As the excitement begins, let’s ensure safety, dignity, and freedom remain part of the conversation.❤️

If you see something, say something. Together, we can help prevent trafficking and protect our communities.

Survivors are powerful. Community is powerful. And at the Tuesday night screening of High Class, we were reminded why this work matters so deeply 💙

Shout out to our Lived Experience Advisor, Talya, for bringing such honesty, strength, and connection to this panel! We are so proud of her and grateful to partner with the communities who are committed to ending human trafficking and walking with survivors toward healing and freedom.
