A More Balanced World

A More Balanced World ‘A More Balanced World’ supports promising, yet economically disadvantaged students around the world to stay in school and realize their individual potentials.

A More Balanced World has been formed to assist students, anywhere in the world, whose chances of obtaining an education and fulfilling their potential are extremely limited by economic disadvantage. The organization is founded on the belief that there is a great desire among many people of means to redress the imbalance in the world between the educational opportunities offered to the children of

privilege and those of the impoverished. With the strong conviction that awareness and education are keys to self sufficiency, human dignity, and a better future, A More Balanced World seeks to draw the link between the advantaged and the deprived, by sponsoring long- term solutions that support children in their educational goals. To identify the students in most dire need of assistance, the organization establishes affiliates within local communities around the world.

A bright and committed young man from Afghanistan, Mujadidin has built his life around the belief that education can illuminate even the most uncertain paths.

After completing High School, he moved to Iran, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. On campus, Mujadidin immersed himself in research and writing. His academic focus gradually sharpened around China’s foreign policy and its growing impact on Central Asia and Afghanistan, a topic he hopes to explore at the graduate level.

Mujadidin’s university life was not limited to his own studies. He became a bridge-builder within the Afghan student community, helping new students navigate academic life. For two years, he served as the editor of Afghanistan Political Science, and played an active leadership role in the central Afghan Students’ Association. These experiences shaped not only his academic identity but also his commitment to service and collective progress.

His journey however, has not been easy. Financial pressure has been a constant challenge, and the difficulties faced by his homeland have weighed heavily on him. Yet he has never allowed these realities to dim his resolve.

As he pursues a master’s degree in International Relations, in Pakistan, A More Balanced World stands beside him, recognizing his unwavering belief in the power of knowledge. With this support, he moves forward with confidence—determined to serve his family, uplift his community, and contribute to a more balanced and humane world.

A bright and compassionate young woman from Karnataka, India, Varsha is chasing her dream of a college education despite overwhelming financial hardship.

Her mother works for an NGO, while her father, with no stable job, takes on any work he can find. With limited resources, Varsha remains determined to create a better future.

Now a student at Jain School of Commerce in Bangalore, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Applications and living in a hostel far from home.

Varsha was introduced to ‘A More Balanced World’ by our partner organization, ‘Small Acts for Sustainability’ who met her at a youth workshop where Varsha volunteered. Her intelligence and kindness made a lasting impression. In conversation, Varsha spoke of her desire to attend college, be able to one day support her mother, and address the challenges women face—challenges she has witnessed firsthand through her mother’s struggles.

Varsha represents the spirit of courage and hope that drives real change—and we’re honored to walk this path with her.
