All other “ism” have failed while “free” market capitalism not only withstood the test of times, but also lifted hundreds of millions of people from abject poverty. In the process, it also made rich even richer. As the wealthy kept accumulating more wealth, they also accumulated more power- now so much power that the poor and middle class are in no position to negotiate their wage – they need a jo
b at any wage offered, just to put the food on the table, pay medical bills – forget saving for kids college. So we are now here – where the wealth and income inequality gap, is so high that it could potentially destroy our society one day. As we celebrated wealth and entrepreneurship, over the year’s we forgot, the simple tenet of human decency – just to be “FAIR” to others. “Free” in general translated to “Greed” and Greed is Good. We have created a society where greed is celebrated. The present system is not sustainable, and we may have already reached the tipping point long time ago. It is not a question of “if” but “when”, the majority will rise up, we as a society are not even equipped to handle the potential unrest and disturbances. We must tweak the “free” market capitalism in all aspect of life and learn to replace the word “free” with “FAIR”. It is really that simple! Each and every one of us have the ability to know what is “fair” and what is not fair. Ford increased the minimum wage of his employees, so that they can buy the car they produced, he did it out of fairness – no one put a gun o his head, or no one had to revolt for that. It was the right thing to do. Our objective here is to identify, educate and spread the word about the unfairness in the current system and how to correct it. When someone works for you, first of all, it is your responsibility to make sure that, that individual is compensated fairly before you think about your compensation. Treat others the way you would like to be treated, it is not rocket science. Treating each human with respect, dignity and basic human decency must be a “Mantra” in all aspect of our lives.
