Happy international breastfeeding week🤱 I have been breastfeeding for 800 days. Full time, every day, every night. This is the most incredible, amazing, beautiful journey I have ever encountered. But also the hardest journey I’ve ever done. I’m inspired by my sister who’s now breastfeeding 4 years straight, no matter my dance or travel I’m determined to breastfeed as long as Maya will want. It was so tough in the beginning when I was struggling with extreme pain for about 5 months to the point of my toes curling, no matter how many consultants I got advice from, it didn’t get better. I was nursing on demand every hour. Then one day, the pain just went away and it turnt into bliss. Suddenly it was like a second nature. For about a year I was also nursing only lying down as it was the only comfortable position. I have never breastfed Maya like a baby in laid back or cradle position so that made it ever more difficult because I couldn’t go anywhere. We also never used bottle as Maya would not want it. This is truly the most special experiences on my life. I do wish there was support in the US for breastfeeding women. It seems as if there’s very little to none. When I go to Czech Republic I regularly see women breastfeeding. Here in Los Angeles I’ve seen 2 women breastfeeding in the whole 2 years. Not only there’s no support from public, there’s also very little education and no support from the system neither. This is the most essential thing we can ever give to our children. The connection, the nutrition, the love and health ❤️ I hope to inspire some women 🥰 • incredible picture by my amazing husband that has been with me on this journey supporting me from the beginning
