The heat is making my kittens sploot 😍🤗😂

WOW big response to my post yesterday! I didn’t mean to derail my own fundraiser lol 😓 and I definitely didn’t expect it to reach so many people. Thank you to everyone for all the support - I bought stronger deadbolts, more cameras, a floodlight, and a panic alarm. ❤️ I hope the takeaway here is a reminder to women to take safety seriously. I’d gotten complacent, and it’s important to stay vigilant.

I already have weapons hidden all over my house 😈💅 but I realized I should have a panic alarm and more cameras. I’m always transparent about allocation of funds, so I wanted to let everyone know that a few hundred dollars will be going towards security. I hope everyone’s ok with this! 🙏💛

I love my followers because you’ve all made my social media such a safe space for so long that I almost forgot about the bad people that exist outside our community. 🥹❤️ But the combination of my platform growing and running the rescue out of my home means I need to start thinking about safety in a way I hadn’t before.

But let this also be a warning to any weirdo who isn’t part of my wonderful community and is just here creeping - as I said, I have protection. Coming for me would not go well for you.🪽

🚨😭 Only 29 people donated yesterday 😭🚨 If you want to see HHAK continue, please chip in. Without your help, I can’t keep doing this. I know the economy and high prices are impacting us all, but just 29 out of the more than 424,000 people who follow me across insta/fb is a bummer. I actually got more requests for help than I did donations yesterday.

I want to be able to say yes. It’s hard saying “I can’t” to the sick, injured, orphaned, etc. cats and litters of kittens under bushes/in cardboard boxes that I get sent in my inbox every day, and having to wonder if they ever got help. But if only 29 people are donating to my fundraisers, I have no choice. I need your support.

Imagine if even half of my followers donated a few dollars, the rescue would be funded for years. Please consider chipping in, I can’t do this without your help. Every dollar makes a difference if we all work together. Your donation is tax deductible!

🚨DONATIONS NEEDED!🚨 Funds are super low and I woke up this morning to not one, but two, limping kittens. My instinct is calici (FCV) given the timeframe and the fact that something like 40% of cats are carriers. Everyone else in the house is vaccinated & boosted (FVRCP), so I’m really only concerned about this litter. I want to go to the vet to rule out anything weird going on, but I haven’t done any fundraising for a while and my HHAK account is very low.

Rescue is expensive, and no one is donating. 😔 These unexpected medical bills come out of nowhere, but there’s also just the day to day cost of caring for so many animals - the food, litter, flea treatment, vaccines, supplements, etc etc. The economy has been super hard on nonprofits because donations have plummeted. I know it’s because everyone is hurting, but HHAK can’t survive without funds, that’s just the reality.

Please donate today, every dollar matters! I hate having to do these posts, but HHAK really can’t exist without your help. Your donation is tax-deductible!!
