S*x Nerds is an opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts of positive, inclusive, and affirming sexuality education. We always begin with introductions and checking-in; topics and guest speakers vary, but questions and discussion are always welcome; and participants are always invited to share what they’re working on, promoting, or nerding-out about right now.

For the Back-to-School edition of our monthly S*x Nerds Meetup, let’s talk about the intersection of sexuality and technology. Digital communication is an integral part of most of our relationships, and the internet is an incredible resource for learning about health, bodies, identities, and pleasure. And we also know that misinformation, rage-baiting, AI, online harassment, and isolation are harmful to many individuals and communities. How can we help people of all ages navigate this brave new world in safe, responsible, and helpful ways? We hope you’ll join us!

Team MTSE is locking in and getting ready to make the 26-27 school year our best one yet. Feliks, Robin, and Emmalinda met in-person this week to fuel up with iced coffee and matcha and talk about upcoming clients, big goals, and our summer adventures. 🧋 🍵 📝 We’re excited to dive back in to empowering and educating young people across Los Angeles; wishing everyone a great back-to-school season!

At More Than S*x-ed, our experts know that trans people exist and have for all of human existence. Trans people deserve dignity, respect, and equal rights. Unfortunately, the US government still does not recognize this.

Yesterday, the US Supreme Court has issued a decision about State's ability to restrict trans athletes from playing on team's based on their gender identity. This is a complicated and, for many, confusing decision. To get a better understanding of this decision, we encourage you to read the thorough analysis of this decision (among others) written by civil rights lawyer, Sam Ames.

What’s your favorite pride flag? Which labels do you like to use to describe your sexual identity? Which labels have you “tried on” and then traded in? Do you enjoy having hyper-specific terminology, or do you prefer more generic q***r descriptors?

Human sexual diversity is as old as humanity, but the growth of vocabulary to describe it (and the accompanying flag-color-schemes to signal it) is much newer. Thanks, internet. For our Pride Month S*x-Nerds Meetup, let’s talk about labels: what language feels right, and when, what it communicates to others, and what we can all learn from expanding our q***r vocabulary!
