The Madi family, a displaced Palestinian family from Gaza currently residing in Egypt, has been facing difficult living conditions and significant challenges in accessing healthcare for their children, each of whom requires ongoing medical support. Through its medical programs and partnerships in Egypt, PCRF continues to serve displaced Palestinian families by helping ensure access to essential healthcare services.
Ibrahim (15) suffers from cystic fibrosis and requires continuous treatment and close medical monitoring. Through the program, he received essential medications, hormone-related treatment, diagnostic testing, and specialist follow-up.
Ayla (3) was supported with specialized medical milk and required medications and was referred for a surgical procedure to address a tear duct condition. Hoor (7), Noor (10), and Hanan also received comprehensive medical services, including specialist consultations, eyeglasses, and treatment for respiratory and vision-related conditions.
All children were assessed through a multidisciplinary approach and received tailored medical support based on their individual needs.
This integrated intervention significantly reduced the financial and health burden on the family and contributed to noticeable improvements in the children’s health and daily functioning.
The Madi family’s case demonstrates the impact of coordinated medical support in improving children’s wellbeing and strengthening family stability.
