Writing the D 🚇

Today we rode the Metro D Line for its grand opening — a historic new subway extension running under Wilshire Blvd, connecting Downtown LA to the Westside with new stops like La Brea, Fairfax, and La Cienega.

“Writing the D” = riding and documenting the new line as it opens up the city in a whole new way.

Big day for LA transit. Smooth ride, new energy, and real movement for the city 🚇🔥

Bike to Clockshop’s Kite Festival with BikeLA and community partners for a family-friendly feeder ride through the proposed Sunset/Chavez Mobility Project, ending at Clockshop’s Kite Festival at LA State Historic Park.

We’ll roll from Sunset Triangle Plaza at turtle-speed and arrive together for a free, all-ages celebration filled with kite flying, live music, art workshops, and community energy—expect a sky full of color and a park full of life.
