This Saturday morning, we will gather for tenant outreach from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Together, we’ll be talking with folks in buildings where tenants from our last general meeting live which are currently facing a handful of housing issues —building power, strengthening connections, and standing in solidarity with our neighbors.
We will gather at Seily Rodríguez Park (Wilton & Lexington, 5707 Lexington Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90038) before moving out as a collective. This is about showing up for each other and building the strength we need to fight for our communities.

🕙 10AM | 📍 5600 Sunset Blvd. (Meet us at the red canopy on St. Andrews, at Hollywood Home Depot)

Join us for a day of tenant outreach and community defense. We’ll be knocking doors, sharing flyers, and connecting with neighbors about their rights as tenants — and how we can build collective power to defend our homes.

As we gather near the Hollywood Home Depot, we’ll also witness the ongoing community self-defense efforts against ICE raids targeting our undocumented neighbors. These attacks are part of a larger system that forces working-class people — especially migrants — to choose between paying rent and facing displacement, criminalization, or deportation.

Landlords and bosses exploit our labor while ICE and police enforce fear. But when we organize together, we can fight back and win!

Come build tenant power with us.
We protect ourselves.

**East Hollywood LATU Monthly General Meeting — Join the Fight** [español abajo]

This month’s East Hollywood LATU General Meeting will be held *indoors* at a secure location. Landlords and evictions don’t pause—not even during a state of emergency, not even with ICE agents terrorizing our streets. And neither do we.

We show up because tenants are under attack—from slumlords, from harassment, from displacement, and from the violence of a system designed to keep us powerless. Whether you’re dealing with uninhabitable housing, landlord abuse, or threats of eviction, we are here to help you organize and fight back.

In recent months, we’ve held open meetings at Lemon Grove Park and our ICE Watch Center—but turnout has been limited. We hear you. We’re shifting indoors, with safety measures and patrols in place to monitor for ICE activity. Your security matters, and so does your voice.

Our *Auto Defensa* efforts have taken time, energy, and commitment—but the same fire fuels our tenant defense work. We’ve been fighting for years, and we have no intention of stopping.

If you’re a tenant in crisis, or someone ready to stand up and get involved—**this is your call to action.**

Comrades, this Saturday we are holding a fundraiser for a long term member and organizer Charlie. As some of you know, Charlie was hit by a car while participating in a protest against ICE in early June. He hasn’t been able to work since June and therefore has dedicated himself to organizing and volunteering full time in the patrolling and investigating of ICE activities in our communities.

Check out the flyer for more information. Food and drinks will be available. It’s going to be a party/get-together this coming Saturday. It’s also a good opportunity for us to relax a bit and socialize. We know it’s been a difficult couple of months for all of us. All funds raised will be turned over to Charlie and will be used for his living expenses. See details below:
