UPDATE for 2020
It’s officially September, which means that Coastal Cleanup Month is kicking off this Saturday! Thank you for all of your support leading up to the launch and throughout the rest of September. We are so grateful to have you on our team!
As we head into the month, here are a few reminders that will help us have a successful Coastal Cleanup Month.
Please register to cleanup through our website. This allows us to track 2020 participation throughout Los Angeles County, and also send participants important safety information and reminders.
Remember to track your data! This is very important, as it gives us valuable insight about the amount and type of trash found in each place. We have been tracking data every year, so it also allows us to compare 2020 to past Coastal Cleanup Day events.
There are two ways to track data:
—Download the CleanSwell application on your phone. Please select “Heal the Bay” as your group.
—Use the physical Data Card and submit to us after the cleanup.
Check out our virtual events and programming, like panels and Instagram lives: https://www.healthebay.org/ccmevents
Don’t forget to share on social media, your website, or a newsletter! You can find the digital toolkit here.
