Sobadas are a traditional, hands-on healing practice rooted in Indigenous bodywork. These sessions focus on either the womb space or specific areas of the body that are holding tension, stagnation, or trauma.

Through intentional, intuitive manipulation of the tissue, sobadas support the repositioning of organs, improve circulation, and help release stored physical and emotional pain. This work goes beyond the surface - it’s about restoring flow, alignment, and connection within the body.

Womb sobadas specifically center the abdominal and pelvic space, while targeted sobadas may focus on areas such as the stomach, hips, back, or legs - depending on what your body is needing.

This is not a relaxation service. It is deep, intentional work that can be intense at times, as the body begins to release what it has been holding.

About Wellness Practitioner

Gernene is an Afro-Indigenous womxn rooted in Tongva Land (Los Angeles). Her journey began offering hair and skin medicine as a way to nurture the wellbeing of our community. Her path of healing has since expanded to include ventosas (fire cupping), an ancestral practice of cleansing and renewal. Sessions support the release of grief, anger, and exhaustion helping the body, heart, and spirit return to balance - reminding us that we are worthy of rest, relief, and liberation.

This gentle, grounding yoga practice invites you to slow down, reconnect and cultivate presence. Through intentional breath and mindful movement, we will root into the earth, bring the body into alignment and activate our energy centers. Walk away feeling centered, with a deep sense of renewal.

Resident Instructor

Sprout llamatekutli (They/Goddess) was born and raised in Los Angeles and Palmdale. They are a Guatemayan, Nicaraguan y Mexican medicine being.

Sprout has been teaching yoga and walking the path since 2018. They were first introduced to yoga in 2006, which opened the door to reconnecting with their ancestors and deepening their relationship with their body, spirit, and voice. Their yoga practice continues to be a living teacher - one that always has something to reveal and offer.

When not teaching, Sprout can usually be found in nature, spending time with loved ones, serving cacao, or sitting in circle with elders. They are often somewhere in between deep presence and play - likely off being silly, grounded in joy and connection.
