***Tomorrow*** We are excited to celebrate Juneteenth officially becoming a federal holiday and our 1 year anniversary of Hydrate LA this year Juneteenth Festival. This was a huge part of beginning of The HLA Movement last year and we are so happy to join a second year in a row!

Big thanks to and water sponsor for giving us a space to give away free water, snacks, fruit, and PPE. We will be selling special edition T-shirts. 100% of proceeds will go towards supplies for the community.

We also will have an Youth Art Therapy Freestyle Painting Activation inside of the art gallery curated by our lead volunteer .

Come out and celebrate with family and friends. Stop by our booth and say hi. We will be on outside of Art Exhibit on 43rd Place across from the fountain in the park. Our team surprised my mom for Mother’s Day. Her efforts go unseen a lot, so I know this meant so much to her. It warms my heart for everyone to see her big heart and dedication to helping others. She is one of the reasons I started Hydrate LA.
She instilled the giving spirit in me at a young age. She nursed my grandmother who had cancer for years until she passed away when my mom was only 21. We took our old clothes and toys to Skid Row once a month. We drove countless hours to see my uncles in prison every month. She sacrificed her career to take care of me full time and still takes care of my grandfather to this day.
I gave her a gift and money for Mother’s Day and she gave it back to me for Hydrate LA supplies. Wow she is truly a servant leader. I pray I can take care of her and give her whatever she desires as she has for me. Please donate to show her even more how much we appreciate her.

Big thanks to the community, donations and volunteers. Every Wednesday @ 11AM we buy 100 cases of water to supply over 15 community and unhoused events around LA. With all the mutual aid we do it’s nice to come together for a good cause. We always need help transporting water. The more vehicles and hands the better. If you would like to volunteer send us a dm. If you can’t make it you can also help by sending a donation. $5 can hydrate 32 people. Anything helps, time, money or simply sharing this post. You keep us going!

16 years old Ma’Khia Bryant was a sweet child, honor roll student, promoted peace and full of life! This is how we should remember her! Yesterday Bryant called 911 when adults began an altercation at her foster home and was trying to defend herself. She was shot 4 times in the back and killed by the police in Columbus, Ohio. This happened minutes after Derek Chauvin was committed guilty of murdering George Floyd in Minneapolis. Although she had a knife, she didn’t deserve to die! If you can’t detain a 16 year old girl without killing her you shouldn’t be a cop!
The enduring trauma being inflicted on Black families is profoundly evil and rooted in white supremacist repression. This is why convictions and reform just aren’t enough for our communities. This is a state of emergency and need The President and Vice-President take a stand to protect ALL BLACK AND BROWN communities now!!!

3.27.21 national day of action demanding an end to anti-Asian racist violence, an end to violence against women and and end to white supremacy now!
We stands in solidarity with the Asian community in the midst of the horrific, racist and misogynist massacre that took place in Atlanta on March 16th. Six Asian women were among the eight shot to death at point blank range.
To date, there have been 3,800 self-reported hate crimes against Asian Americans.
The mainstream media’s failure to label the Atlanta shooting as a hate crime demonstrates the gross disregard and injustice that our communities are facing. Stop Anti-Asian Violence, Stop China-Bashing
