It’s finally here. SASTIC turns 5 today. 🎉
In just a few hours, we’ll be together at ISTC to celebrate five years of SASTIC: five years of ideas, hard work, challenges, unexpected turns, and, most importantly, a community that kept showing up and moving things forward.
There’s a lot to look back on, and even more to look forward to.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of these five years. We can’t wait to celebrate with you today.

Dr. Marina Aghayan rounds out the list of Panel II: From Idea to Real Life. Marina is an award-winning chemical engineer, material scientist, and deep-tech entrepreneur specializing in advanced 3D printing. She is the Co-founder and CEO of FACT Industries (Estonia), a startup developing proprietary 3D-printed ceramic thermal systems for aerospace clients like the European Space Agency.
Driven by a mission to bridge advanced science with real-world impact, she also co-founded AIP Tech, an Armenian biotech firm that 3D-prints customized, life-altering implants for patients. Holding a PhD in Engineering from the Tallinn University of Technology, Dr. Aghayan combines over 15 years of rigorous academic research with international commercial success, making her a leading voice on turning complex scientific breakthroughs into viable global businesses.
