Exodus Vision Our mission: Equipping African Churches for Evangelism, Education and Economic development P.O.

Exodus Vision is committed to working along side Christian leaders from different churches in the African Great Lake region, especially those reaching out to rural areas and refugee camps. Exodus Vision supports Evangelism by sending out ministry teams, training church leaders, distributing Bibles and Christian literature, providing pastoral care, building Bible schools, and by partnering with f

aithful and dedicated servants of God on the mission field. Exodus Vision focuses on Education by sponsoring Bible training programs for pastors, and teaching orphans and needy children. The goal is to minister to the whole person- body, mind, and spirit, by working along side the local churches. Exodus Vision encourages Economic Development by teaching others how to “feed themselves by catching their own fish,” and providing opportunities for people to bake bread in their own bakeries. By becoming self-sufficient, these Africans will soon have the resources to send forth their own evangelists to reach others with the Good News. Prayerfully consider how you can become involved with Exodus Vision as it reaches across international borders. You can bring a Vision to spiritually trapped and enslaved people, helping them find an Exodus to a bright and shining rebirth. “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering”

PASTOR MALINGA’S WIFE

Recently we were able to meet an urgent need thanks to the generosity of our Exodus Vision family. Pastor Innocent Luka Malinga was one of the pastors at the conference in Tete, Mozambique. His wife tragically lost both legs in an accident last year and required replacement prosthetics to restore her mobility. The total cost was $700. Exodus Vision’s general fund was able to fully cover this need.

Your generosity makes a difference. Your giving directly impacts families, strengthens pastors, and brings hope in devastating situations.

Many pastors shared powerful testimonies throughout the conference, even though only a few were captured on video. What we experienced in Tete, Mozambique was far more than a gathering; it was partnership, unity, and a deep sense of community. Pastors traveled from across the nation of Mozambique to grow, to seek God’s presence, to strengthen their faith, and to connect with one another.

There is nothing quite like being in a room where everyone shares the same desire for solid teaching and the same purpose to carry that teaching forward. It felt like the Church being the Church.

TEACHINGS IN TETE

The conference in Tete, Mozambique reminded us of what happens when God’s people gather hungry for His Word.

Dr. Faustin challenged us to cultivate a life of persistent, expectant prayer.

Pastor Jeremy unpacked Ephesians and the journey of becoming a Rooted Disciple as steady, grounded, and fruitful.

Pastor Jim led us into the healing work of Forgiveness, where God restores what felt impossible.

This video highlights these teachers using small but significant portions of Exodus Vision training materials. Every moment of worship, the unifying messages, and the hunger in the room pointed us back to Jesus.

‼️URGENT NEED: FOOD CRISIS AT DZALEKA REFUGEE CAMP‼️

More than 60,000 refugees have sought safety at the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, five times the population it was originally built to support. With severe overcrowding and major funding cuts, food supplies have reached a critical low.

News analyst Andrew Viano reports that Dzaleka was “originally designed for 10,000 to 12,000 people. Many residents say they rely entirely on humanitarian assistance…Many are unable to work because of Malawi’s encampment policy, enforced in March 2023, which requires refugees living in urban and rural areas to relocate to Dzaleka.”

Because encampment restricts refugees from farming, trading, or earning income, families are left without any means to secure food. Maize, beans, cooking oil, and basic staples are urgently needed.

Your generosity directly supports vulnerable families who have nowhere else to turn. Your contribution makes a tangible difference.

THE BLESSING OF BIBLES

Alongside bicycles, each pastor attending the training conference in Tete, Mozambique received a new Bible. That is 45 pastors coming from different districts and church denominations in Mozambique! A Bible is an essential tool that will directly influence their preaching, discipleship, and the growth of their churches.

Pastor Charles Tembo reflected on the weight of these gifts: “God has given us free transport to come here, free admission, free food, free Bibles, free bicycles… and such solid teachings…”
Before he could finish, the pastors responded with spontaneous praise and thanksgiving.

Practical tools. Spiritual tools. Multiplying impact. No words to describe how grateful we are to witness it firsthand.

THE BLESSING OF BICYCLES
“Giving a bicycle to a rural pastor is often a game changer for their ministries.” — Jack Hardgrave

Rural communities. Scattered dwellings. Paths, not roads. Church parking lots with no cars, few bikes, and many footprints. Pastors typically walk miles to reach their congregants, checking in with them, helping them, shepherding them. Many cannot afford a bicycle, choosing instead to feed their families. A bike is not just transportation; it is time saved and ministry expanded.

Last week in Tete, Mozambique, we had the joy of giving brand new bicycles to 13 Mozambican pastors, each one a gift from Pastor Jeremy’s church, The Highlands. The joy that followed was contagious. These pastors were riding high, laughing, celebrating, and imagining the expanded reach of their ministry.

With Pastor Jeremy leading, we gathered to pray over each pastor and each bicycle: “[We] pray that they would be used to be a blessing to these pastors, that they would be used to take the gospel to people, that they would be used to provide for their families, that they would be used for the glory of God.”

Equipping pastors in practical and impactful ways is a beautiful thing.

Updates have been quiet only because so much good is happening in Tete, Mozambique. Faustin sent this brief message: “God is doing way too many amazing things that we can’t keep up…I wish you were here to see what we see. No words to describe it.”

Here are some photos we have received so far, with much more to come next week!

TETE, MOZAMBIQUE

The adventure has begun in Tete! This photo captures three of our team members at LAX on Monday evening, just before their long journey across the world. They arrived in Mozambique at 5am Pacific time, 2 pm local time on Wednesday, ready to begin a week of ministry.

Our five-person team (board members, their pastor, and Faustin’s niece traveling from London) will be gathering 50 pastors from across Mozambique’s provinces: Zambezia, Niassa, and Tete for a week of prayer, training, and encouragement.

A global team. A diverse gathering. A powerful week ahead.

PASTOR-LED CONFERENCE
A total of 52 pastors from about 20 churches around the Lujeri tea estates in Mulanje, Malawi gathered for a training conference initiated and organized entirely by local pastors. This gathering stood out not only because it was pastor driven, but also because attendees provided their own food.

THE INSPIRATION
Seven leaders, connected through Pastor Phillip Chilale, had previously attended an Exodus Vision conference in Limbuli in 2023. After experiencing the value of that training, they returned home and began teaching Exodus Vision materials in their churches and small groups. For instance, Pastor Bonjes now teaches a women’s group, Sunday School, a youth group, and even church elders, using Exodus Vision resources to equip each one.

CHOSEN CONTENT
Phillip Chilale, Harry Frank, and Shadrack Zinamala taught The Gospel of John, Rooted Disciple, Pastoral Ministry, and Ethics, based on community needs, and pastors showed strong interest throughout the training.

THEIR MOTIVATION
They saw a growing hunger for biblical learning and wanted to address the many questions they encountered while teaching to the best of their ability. They requested Exodus Vision’s help so pastors in their network could receive deeper, more comprehensive training.

THE HOPE
The Lujeri pastors expressed deep gratitude for the support, Bibles, and teaching materials provided. They are already asking for a longer, three day conference, noting that attendance had to be capped at 52 due to limited feeding capacity, and many more pastors are eager for training.

Frieda Memorial Fund: How You Can Help

The needs coming to our door are real and urgent. Through the Frieda Memorial Fund, we are already helping children stay in school, supporting widows and orphans, and meeting critical needs for pastors who serve faithfully with few resources.

Requests are increasing, especially from young students whose futures depend on scholarships. If you feel led to give, your love gift designated to the Frieda Memorial Fund will go directly to these needs. Every dollar is used as intended.

Please keep our team in prayer as we prepare to leave and conduct a pastor-training conference in Mozambique. To support the Frieda Fund, visit: https://www.exodusvision.com/donate
