Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club

Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club (LAARC) is an all-volunteer affiliate of NM SAR and ARRL founded 1947 LAARC is an active amateur radio club.

Members participate in amateur radio contests through ARRL, scheduled and emergency public safety events through ARES and RACES, and search and rescue missions through NM SAR (administered by NM State Police). We have two ARRL club radio stations: W5PDO at CD-1 in Los Alamos and WD5JRO in our communications trailer. Club meetings are held the second Friday of each month, at 8 pm, at CD-1. Social hour begins at 7 pm in the radio room. Visitors are more than welcome to join us.
