On October 11, 2025, Brothers from around New Mexico and our Sisters of the New Mexico Order of the Eastern Star gathered with his many friends and family to celebrate the life and say farewell to RWB Brother Don Davidson. An active Freemason since 1958, a 33° Scottish Rite Mason, and a true friend, Br. Don will be sincerely missed by all of us, until we meet again.

Today, Grand Lodge of New Mexico AF & AM dedicated the (symbolic) cornerstone of the Ballut Abyad Shriners in New Mexico Los Alamos Shrine Club Annex. It was an interesting ceremony that is more rare in modern times and has not been seen in New Mexico in many years! Thanks to all the Brothers, guests and friends, Rainbow Girls, Job's Daughters, and Route 66 DeMolay, who came from around the State to support Freemasonry in Los Alamos. Huge Thank You to New Mexico State Representative Christine Chandler for being our guest at the ceremony and offering remarks supporting the ideals of Freemasonry (Fraternity, Charity, Patriotism) in today's society.

The cornerstone laying ceremony is one of Freemasonry’s oldest and most symbolic traditions, tracing back to operative stonemasons and the building of the great cathedrals and temples. In 1793, President George Washington laid the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol Building using very similar phrases and symbols that are still used today.
