MISSION & GOALS
MOTR is the new name of WRBC’s midweek children’s program. Jesus is our rock and we want to grow in our faith with our MOTR kids help them develop deeper relationships with God, each other and our community. Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
The name of
the curriculum we will be using this year is FaithWeaver Friends. We will start and end each MOTR in worship, the kids will rotate between Games, Music & Memory, and Projects with a Purpose and there will be a time of journaling for reflection. Each activity will be focused on helping the kids learn the memory verse and biblical concept. There are four age groups for MOTR:
PEBBLES are pre-kindergarten children and are led by Jo Mazuranich who has been a faithful member of the AWANA (former program) leadership team for a number of years. If your children are in this group they will be working on scripture memorization through games, play, service projects, and music. STONES children are kindergarten through 3rd grade and are led by Chance Collins. Stones will learn scripture through games, music, and service projects. You are encouraged to help your children by reviewing the concepts and scripture for the week, inquiring about journal time, and participating community service projects (more info to come). Boulders is for children 4th and 5th grade and will be led by Michael (Mike) Fichtel. Boulders will be doing the same activities listed for the Stones.
