Partner Spotlight: Esperanza Shelter

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to recognize the organizations working every day to help survivors find safety, support, and a path forward.

A Community Health Funder Alliance Health Impact Grantee, Esperanza Shelter provides trauma-informed services for people experiencing domestic violence.

The Community Health Funder Alliance brings funders together to strengthen systems of care and promote health equity across Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. Through pooled funding and multi-year Health Impact Grants, the Alliance supports organizations addressing critical health and social needs, including women’s health and violence prevention.

For Esperanza Shelter, that support helps strengthen services, including shelter, advocacy, counseling, support groups, and other resources for survivors and their families.

At Anchorum, we know community health means more than healthcare. Safety, stability, trusted support, and the ability to heal are all part of health.

We’re grateful for Esperanza Shelter and the many community organizations working to create safer, healthier communities across Northern New Mexico.

Strengthening connections! Today we participated in the Vista Living Care monthly workshop held in collaboration with the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization to learn more about staying financially vigilant in an era of every growing scams and fraud techniques to help ourselves and loved ones.

These workshops happen the first Wednesday every month from 1-2 p.m. at Fuller Lodge. Each workshop offers practical tools and supportive conversation focused on stress relief, self-care, caregiver support, connection and encouragement.

We appreciate the efforts made every day to strengthen our community!
