This Saturday, March 7th, LAYB will continue our tradition of hosting kids from the Champions League. This group is a specialized, volunteer-run baseball program for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities, holding the title of the world's largest such league with over 200 players. Based at Oak Knoll Park and right here at LAYB Field, it offers a free, inclusive environment for players to develop skills and enjoy the game.
COME SUPPORT THIS PROGRAM!
The kids in the Champions League thrive on interaction and guidance from "Buddies". Buddies include anyone age 9 and older (including parents). We would love to have volunteers show up to help coach up these kids while playing the game. This includes support with ground balls, throwing the ball, swinging the bat, and running the bases.
WHEN: Starting this Saturday, March 7th, 9:00am game and 10:30am game. Each game runs one hour. The season will run from March 7th through May 23rd. All games on Saturdays at times listed above.
WHERE: Pony Field at LAYB (large field).
Come to one or stay for both!
