Urgent Medical Relief Needed: Supporting Families and Persons with Disabilities in Adi Arkay and Telemt:

Walia Charity Association in North America is witnessing an urgent and heartbreaking medical reality in Adi Arkay and Telemt , North Gondar, Ethiopia. Today, many families face serious illness without the means of paying for basic care. Malaria and other tropical diseases continue to threaten lives, especially among children, pregnant women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, who often face even greater barriers to accessing treatment.

For many households, medical care is simply unaffordable. Parents are forced to delay seeking help, ration medicines, or travel long distances to clinics that may not have the supplies they need. People with disabilities are particularly vulnerable, as mobility challenges, stigma, and poverty can prevent timely care. A treatable illness can quickly become life-threatening.

Local health facilities are doing their best but lack consistent medicines, diagnostic tools, and outreach capacity. This is where compassionate supporters can make a lifesaving difference.
